Bunica's Garden borrows its vine from Romanian folk embroidery, the kind stitched by hand across generations onto the ie, the traditional blouse, each region carrying its own version of the same climbing bloom.

Each bead was placed by hand, one small offering at a time, until a tiny structure stood tall enough to hang from your ear. An original design, woven slowly using Japanese glass beads strung on waxed nylon thread, inspired by traditional Romanian folk embroidery. No two pieces are ever perfectly identical.

  • Findings: stainless steel ear hooks; hypoallergenic and tarnish-resistant
  • Materials: Japanese glass beads, hand-woven with waxed nylon thread

Looking after your earrings

  • Store flat in a soft pouch, away from direct sunlight and humidity
  • Avoid perfume, sunscreen, alcohol and harsh chemicals on the beadwork
  • Occasional splashes are fine - avoid prolonged contact with water
  • Clean with a soft dry cloth - slightly damp if needed
  • Put on and remove by the hook, not by tugging the beadwork
  • Glass beads don't fade - the thread is the part to protect

Ships with PostNL from Amsterdam within 2–3 working days. EU delivery 2–10 business days. Tracking included.

Earrings are non-returnable once received - for hygiene reasons, and honestly, because once you've worn them you're not giving them back anyway. This is in accordance with EU consumer law (Article 16(e) of the Consumer Rights Directive).

If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact me within 48 hours with photos and I will resolve it immediately.
